Why did Dr. Tom become a Chiropractor?
“In the summer of 1977, I injured my low back while high jumping. I missed the mats and landed on the hard ground. After not being able to get in any comfortable position for a few days and taking some muscle relaxants prescribed by our family doctor, my dad encouraged me to go see the chiropractor in Waverly, Dr. Ken Kinsley. That summer I was scheduled to attend several basketball camps. Dr. Kinsley’s adjustments and what he taught me about chiropractic allowed me go to each of those camps. I continued to go to Dr. Kinsley throughout the rest of high school and into college. His love for his patients and for chiropractic were a huge part of my decision to become a chiropractor along with my passion for health and fitness. Over the past 25 years, I have seen thousands of patients respond to chiropractic care here in our office that suffered from neck pain, headaches, low back and leg pain, advanced degenerative arthritis, herniated and bulging discs, and various sports injuries. I look forward to helping others receive the same benefits that I have.”

Personal Interests

I spend as much time as possible with my wife Jennifer and our two sons Mason and Kellan. Besides my family and Chiropractic, my other passion is competing in off-road motorcycle events (Hare Scrambles/Enduros/GNCC). Health and fitness is part of everyday life for my wife and I, as Jennifer is an Exercise Physiologist.  We both enjoy training and are very thankful for the opportunities we have to help patients reach their full health potential.

Why did Dr. Nate become a Chiropractor?
“Since my Great-grandfather and Grandfather were both Chiropractors, I have been adjusted my entire life. I have personally experienced the impact that having a healthy, well-aligned spine has on overall health and function. It was for this reason that I became a Chiropractor, in order to be able to provide natural healthcare to our community.”

Why did Dr. Sarah become a Chiropractor?
“I knew I wanted to do something in healthcare but I wanted to shift away from treating symptoms. I fell in love with the philosophy of chiropractic—the body healing itself given optimal conditions. At the time I was working as a Physical Therapy Technician and Personal Trainer. I loved my job but knew I wanted to do more. Dr. Tom opened my mind and my heart to chiropractic and within two months I started the program at NYCC. Chiropractic has opened my eyes to how incredible the human body is and how important natural healthcare is.”
